Biography

Ana began her artistic career in 1992. She continued her artistic training in different cities in Europe and the United States, including Vienna, Bern, Munich and Baltimore. During this time she experimented with various disciplines, such as the human figure, sculpture, ceramics, printing, engraving, and marbling. Her work has been exhibited collectively and individually in Guatemala City, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, and the United States.

Born 1974 in Guatemala City, Liska began her artistic career in 1992. She studied architecture and continued to experiment with various disciplines. 

Her work is born out of the need to express. It originates from an overflowing sensitivity. From the encounter with a world full of color, personal style and the technique of which she has successfully appropriated. At first glance, its expression emerges from the opposites of everyday life. Conceptually, its aesthetics is the result of a silent voice that, emancipated through art, wants to be heard. Voice that manages to express itself with loose forcefulness. It is balance and balance of emotions at the same time. As a result of a physical problem (with the sense of hearing), Ana manages to compensate through chromatic exercises to find the balance between what lives and produces. Just as the ear works by leveling the body "In my compositions", indicates the artist, "there is certainty of balancing what in daily life is very difficult for me to achieve. My compositions become a form of calm ”.

Her work has been exhibited collectively and individually in galleries in Guatemala, Colombia, Italy and United States.
